Great Price! Good Product!
This headunit is a great value. It does everything it says. For the price you can't beat it. When I first ordered it I was kinda nervous; My biggest concern was picture quality. I expected it to be very pixeled because of the low price and lower name brand. But the picture is great! The only thing that this unit doesn't have that higher end units do is GPS. But you can purchase an upgraded model that does. I don't need it since I have GPS in my Droid-x. The installation was a breeze. For anyone with any experience, it was very self explanatory. The manual is horrible as others said because it is translated from another language but all the wires are very clearly marked. There is a safety feature on this unit so that you can't watch video while driving. I thought it defeated the purpose of buying this unit; since I wanted video for my pasengers to watch while I drive. But don't worry it is VERY easy to bypass. All you must do is connect the pink "parking brake" wire to ANY ground on...

Best baseline model
Basically Pyle is one of your respected "Brand-X" manufacturers.Compared to all the baseline models having these features, you're getting the same exact features and quality the major commercial name brands give you for $100+ more.Good touch screen, good EQ options with a super bass mode and loudness control. More than ample ins and outs on the rear deck. Plenty of power but obviously outboard amps are a necessity these days. Great radio reception, I grab all my favorite city based radio stations just about anywhere I go which is from up to 50+ miles away. Remote has plenty of interface controls. Disc loading is fast, aux, USB/SD reading is instant and plays Divx the same it would off disc.All your settings menus are incredibly thorough as well, lots of options to suit any of your needs.My only complaint is to put the SD card in, you have to pop the face place off. Really fast when using a USB thumb drive
I bought this so I could use the USB slot and it works great. It loads all the songs in about 2 seconds (even with a large thumb drive of 4 GB or more of music) and then there is no wait time when scrolling through tracks. It clearly displays the song title and you can adjust it to display the track by title, album, etc. I'm not a huge stereo person so I don't care about amps and making my car vibrate, but I will say that my music plays clearly and I can turn it up much louder than I need too without my music being distorted in any way. The buttons are a little small, but you get used to them. I did plug my blackberry phone into the AUX port and it did play my songs. However, no information about the song was displayed on the stereo's display and I had to control my music through the Blackberry, which is a pain. Luckily, I plan on using the USB slot, this is just an FYI for those of you who don't have an ipod and wanted to know if other mp3 players could utilize the stereo's controls...

The Best Pioneer Deck I Have Owned
I have owned 7 different Pioneer decks over the last 10 years (my car was frequently the victim of theft) and this is by far the best unit I have ever owned. We used this to replace a junky Sony Xplode unit that died after the buttons went crazy. This deck does everything you could want it to and at an amazing price. You can plug in any USB device and it will play the music stored there. I plugged in my Droid phone and it located the music and played it with ease. We used a flash drive and it played all the music. We plugged in our iPod with the normal USB cable and it worked perfectly and it gives you the option to control the music from the deck or from the iPod. We haven't tried CD's in it but I am sure it will function just fine. The color options are a nice addition but what made me happiest is that the display is not too bright. With every unit I have had, the screens are so bright that they cause fatigue on my eyes while driving at night. This does not distract me at...

I got this on sale for under a hundred bucks on Amazon.It features great iPod/iPhone integration---the song name/artist/album can be displayed.Easy to use and configure compared to my old Clarion deck.The wire colors on the Pioneer matches the standard Nissan wiring harness perfectly. [94 Infiniti G20, factory amps previously bypassed.]You can choose either Green or Red Illumination.It includes a wireless remote for back passengers.There is annoying plastic cover over the USB port.Pretty stylish...and an incredible value. Best single din player
This is the best single din player I have come across. I used sony xplod series earlier and have also used kenwood but I realized when I used Pioneer that it is a class apart. I have 4X4 infinity reference speakers installed. 1st time I used my pioneer, I thought "Do I have a sub in my car that I dont know about". I mean, I could actually feel the real power of infinity without amp just by installing pioneer!!This system is amazing. I can tune it the way I want it too. It has HPF and LPF, so if I had an amp or sub, i can make use of it. One of the best thing about this is the blue OLED screen. Though I would have loved it to be 1.5 times or 2 times bigger than what it is but its great. Lot of options to choose from. I can also setup alarm on it (though i've never used it). The sound reproduction is very clear.Dont buy the pioneer cable for ur iphone. Your regular charging cable will work just fine.The negative:Only thing I dont like is the...

Very nice for the price
I was replacing a 5 year old Pioneer head unit in my truck. For under $200 I don't know how you could ask for anything more. I have 6 speakers in the doors and a sub under the rear seat all run off of 2 amplifiers. When I plugged my iPod into this deck, I had never heard the music on it sound so good. I have used stereos where you plug into a 3.5mm jack from the iPod and there is a huge difference in sound when hooked up via USB. There is no distortion from the additional digital to analog conversions. The display on this unit is a little small, but it displays a lot of information. The control is a little clumsy at first, but after a while it seems intuitive. As another note, don't bother with the iPod cord from Pioneer. Just use the one you use to hook up to your computer. It works just fine.

Very nice "budget" stereo
I'd had enough of my Ram's stock stereo, so I bought this unit to upgrade it. The difference was immediate and dramatic even when driving the OEM speakers (which I have since replaced). Very good sound quality, tight iPod integration, the Aux and USB inputs up front are a godsend, and it looks really sweet.Highly recommended with a few caveats:1. The product picture gives the idea that there is some kind of electroluminescent thing happening behind the volume knob. This is misleading and I wish Amazon would do something about it. Still though, the clear plastic behind the volume knob *is* blue tinted and I like how it looks. I think if it was actually lit (like the picture implies), it would be a bit much.2. When the head unit is set up to control your iPod, it's sllloooowwww. It would take FOREVER to scroll down to, say, Slayer. Maybe I just didn't give myself enough time to get used to it, but because of this, I just control the iPod...

Another great car CD Player from Pioneer
For the past 4 years I've been using a Pioneer DEH-P6700MP car stereo which is almost identical to the . I really liked the Pioneer as it seemed to really be able to liven up my 1998 Toyota Corolla factory speakers and had several features I regularly used and loved. I decided it was time to upgrade recently as my old Pioneer was having difficulty playing CDs while the AC was on, and it was making ticking sounds with many of my CDs. Nice little head unit - with some quirks
I installed the P5200HD in a Mustang with a Mach460 sound system. I chose to go old school and hard wired it without using a wiring harness; but, please save yourself a few hours and get the wiring harness!The things I like about this receiver are:1) The unit puts out incredible sound and the HD radio is crystal clear. I live just North of Austin and haven't noticed any of the cutting out that other reviewers have described. I'm sure the quality of your local HD radio stations will impact your experience quite a bit.2) I love that I can plug a USB thumb drive full of songs into the receiver! To me, this is far more convenient than using CDs or even pluggin in my iPod most of the time.3) Although I prefer using the USB thumb drive, the ability to use my iPod through the radio is also great. I hadn't played with iPod tagging before now, but it has turned out to be a nice feature.Although this receiver has been very nice...

Nice head unit. Good feature set. Poor implementation of reading USB storage devices.
This is a typically good Pioneer head unit. The sound quality is good. The ergonomics are pretty decent. The ability to shape the sound (equalizer settings, etc.) are fine. The detachable faceplate works fine and is useful for those who live or park in higher crime areas. Pioneer makes some of the better head units, and this one is perfectly in line with the typical qualities of their lines. The current price for feature set is also reasonably attractive.What I don't like, and why I'm docking this to three stars, is the implementation of the one set-apart feature of this head unit, namely the ability to connect an iPod of USB storage device through a USB port in the head unit. Sounds like a great idea, and I was quite excited to be able to use it. I duly copied a bunch of folders of music to a multi Gb USB storage "thumb drive", attached the drive to the unit, and started to navigate the music on the drive......only to discover that the unit presents the music...

Older and Better
This is one of the older (to my knowledge) Sirius units. I've had mine 3+ years. They are bigger and clunkier than many of the new models, but to me with the larger display and button size it is far easier to use and preferable. I have 5 of these in my family and have not had trouble with any of them. Mine is used in my car on my daily commute and then taken into the office to be used all day in the compatible boombox. I've looked at the new ones and while they do appear a bit more slick and sophisticated, I've decided for now I'll keep what works very well for me. FYI - In two of our cars, I have the unit hidden out of sight in the center console with the antenna on the rear deck inside the car and it works well if you make certain the antenna has a good view of the sky. To me the trade off of a possible very slight degradation of performance is more than offset by the convenience of a totally inside the vehicle installation.
